Last week, MiRo and the Consequential Robotics team had the great privilege of attending the UK-Netherlands Innovation Showcase which took place at the opulent Mansion House in London. We were delighted to be invited to present MiRo at the prestigious event aimed towards showcasing British and Dutch excellence in technological innovation in tackling the grand challenges of tomorrow!
On the day, MiRo and the team were able to meet and speak with an audience of leading tech innovators in the UK and the Netherlands, including the Queen of the Netherlands and Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex. Queen Maxima even took the opportunity to stroke MiRo and watch him as he wagged his tail in glee!
Needless to say, we were all very excited to be celebrating the vitality and long-standing UK - Netherlands trading and economic relationship. Key areas of interest for both countries include AI/Data, clean growth, ageing society and the future of mobility,
We took the opportunity to share our objectives for MiRo in health and social care and the use assistive and companion robots for greater independent living. MiRo is currently being trialled in care homes and specialist care homes in the UK as we track the benefits of using MiRo to support carers and their elderly patients to achieve greater independent living in an ageing society.
